The new issue of UK Star Magazine (to be released on Thursday, UK time) features an expose claiming the family 'are endorsing and selling fashion products manufactured in foreign sweatshops, where workers…as young as sixteen, are abused and virtually imprisoned,' according to RadarOnline.com.
The Executive Director of The Institute for Global Labour and Human Rights (which has launched an investigation into the claims), Charles Kernaghan, told Star magazine: "The Kardashians are in bed with some pretty bad people… taking advantage of these workers" and "holding hands with a government that spits on democracy and human rights."
He also said temperatures inside the factories can reach over 100 degree Farenheit, and claimed workers earning as little as $15 a month "can't stand up and stretch."
Kris Jenner has denied the allegations, saying: "As far as I know the factories that are used to manufacture the Kardashian clothing and shoes have nothing terrible going on at all and the factories are very well policed and meet factory standards"
