Lindsay Lohan released from jail after serving four hours of her 30-day sentence

Lindsay Lohan is telling friends that her epic four and a half hour jail stint last night was "scary".

The actress was sentenced to 30 days behind bars for breaching the terms of her probation, but served just four hours after surrendering to the LA sheriff last night.

Lindsay was released later on the same evening due to overcrowding at the jail, but she says she found the experience "scary", anyway.

Sources tell TMZ that the 25-year-old described her jail cell at Lynwood prison as "cold" and she says the four hour ordeal has been a wake up call. (Just like her last stint in jail was).

Lindsay didn't get off totally scott free though, she still has to complete her community service working as a janitor at the county morgue and attend four therapy sessions a month.

If she messes up in any way, she could go back to jail for a sentence of 270 days… which, in real time, probably equates to about 24 hours!
