The former Spice Girl, who's expecting her third child right now, was complaining yesterday that she thought she'd never go into labour.
"I've tried everything," the 36-year-old said in an interview. "I've tried the hot food, the running, the sex, the violence, I've tried it all. It just seems to be stuck and hibernating in there getting bigger and bigger, so it's coming out this week for sure."
At 4am this morning (LA time) Mel tweeted that she couldn't sleep and that her husband Stephen Belafonte was kindly whipping her up a snack: "@Stephenthinks1 is cooking me chicken and greens,i have the best hubby EVER!!".
The early morning food must have done the trick because only a few hours later she was photographed on her way to hospital, supported by her hubby and a bodyguard (and with a look of pain on her face that would put any woman off childbirth).
