Harry Potter has swapped broomsticks for cancer sticks — and his Hogwarts cast-mates are not happy about it.

According to reports, 18-year-old Daniel Radcliffe has taken to sparking up every time the director yells "Cut" on the set of the latest Harry Potter film. Apparently he's up to a pack-a-day habit but he's now been warned by producers to keep the new hobby under his invisibility cloak for fear of tarnishing Harry's innocent schoolboy image.

"Friends and co-stars including Rupert Grint (who plays Harry's best friend Ron) have been warning him about the dangers of smoking," says an on-set source. "But he doesn't take any notice."

The source added that Daniel's been hanging around older actors like Kevin Spacey and Stephen Fry, and he seems to have picked up the habit from them.

He may be an adult now, but it's still pretty weird to think of little Harry Potter puffing away behind the quidditch stand.

Ah, give the poor guy a break. I'm a smoker, too, and when people comment negatively about it, I just say, "they're my lungs and I'll do what I want with them". People need to realise Dan is a grown man now and can do (and choof on) whatever he pleases. Let the poor man be!
This is to "a" from sydney about your comment. 1) Fat people arent the issue here its SMOKING that is the topic of conversation....*** 2) The percentage with people that smoke is about the same if not actually higher that die than people who die of being fat.Perhaps theres a reason for that pathetic comment of yours, we all could be sensing you have a weight problem yourself? i suggest you have a look in the mirror and take a good, hard look at how you look and think before you type. If you really wanna weigh things up, how about weighing up and seeing how big the percentage there is with the *** like YOU in this world to the nice, genuine people? Just remember for every comment someone says about a fat or thin person, there is ALWAYS something that someone else is going to hate about YOU. For eg. you might have an issue with fat people, other people might have an issue with YOUR BIG mouth. So what are they gonna do? Be around people with a small mouth lol. Grow up loser.
OMG why do u insist on making celbs lifes ***. But I do think that smoking is a really bad habit having all the innformation we have now but it is his choise. So if he thinks about it he should come to the conclusion that it is bad for you and because i doubt that any girl would want Daniel Radcliffe dying young because of lung cancer. And the person that said why do smokers get ban from smoking out well you really dnt no how anoying it is for us non smokers to be eating and have some rude person somking next to you it was your decision to start we made our dision not to but you insist on poisining our bodys when it is our choice what we do with them NOT YOURS!!!!!!!!
If he was a regular 18 yr old guy and smoked, no one would care, but as soon as their is a camera put on him its huge... it shouldn't be. Its up to him if he wants to smoke, its his life. let him live it and get off his back!

Love it. In the text it says he needs to keep it under wraps in case it tarnishes his image. Then you go and report it. Tools. That's so stupid, he doesn't actually smoke you idiots, that was from a Shaffner play he did called Equus, and he had to smoke in that play. He technically had to have sex with a horse too, WHY DIDN'T YOU REPORT THAT FOOLS!! Hahahahaaaaa Kudos to all of you who believed the press once again. Now go run into a wall. Hahahahahahahahahaha
For all those who are going "OH HARRY HOW COULD YOU?" take a second to think that it's not actually Harry who's smoking. Harry is a character. If Daniel wants to slowly fill his lungs up with tar and rot his brain then ring a ding ding. Let him do it and face the consequences later. In the mean time, enjoy his movies. =)
