The TV megastar is getting police escort vehicles, road closures and bodyguards galore when she heads to Australia next week.
Accordinging to senior police sources, Oprah is gonna get the full "formal guest of government" treatment from the Federal Government - no word on how much of our tax money is going into keeping Queen O safe!
Oprah's people are hoping to house her in posh, high-security hotels like the Intercontinental Hotel or the Shangri-La - but Oprah is intent on spending some of her time at a "regular Australian family" household, ordering her producers to raid the country for a suitable host family.
"She wants to immerse herself in the Aussie culture and she thinks the best way to do that is live with a family and sit down to dinner with them by the barbecue, play a bit of backyard cricket and experience their lifestyle," said a source.
. "The NSW Government prefers what they regard to be the safest option, a luxury hotel, but to date nothing has been signed off on. It could still go either way."
