The Scream star made a guest appearance on US radio star Howard Stern’s show on Wednesday morning and opened up about the breakdown of his marriage, saying that he had shed tears after sleeping with the woman because it lacked the “emotional love” he felt with his wife.
He said: “A few days later, I was, like, crying. It was the end of all the intimacy I shared with my wife. It was like a new thing. It was like putting that away.”
But the 39-year-old actor added that he had to “f--- the pain away” to cope with the failure of his 11-year marriage, and admitted that he had slept with more than one woman since their break-up.
As well as having sex with waitress Jasmine Waltz, he told the radio host he had also slept with a mystery Australian blonde. Asked whether it was just a one-night stand, he confessed: “I’d see her again.”
David, who confessed that he had been “drinking a little more than usual” since splitting with 46-year-old Courteney, revealed that she was “p----- [off]” when David discussed details of their sex life live on air earlier this month – but he continued to open up about their split.
Quizzed about tabloid rumours speculating that Courteney could have had a relationship with her Cougar Town co-star Brian Van Holt, he said: “I don’t know if I buy all that.
“It definitely weighs on my mind. There is the anger element. I just have to f---- the pain away.
“The fact of the matter is that I am still in love with my wife – that’s the bottom line.”
