Grumpy Gaga forgoes food for fashion

While most of us prefer to be able to do the essentials — eating, walking, breathing — Gaga puts fashion first.

Wearing this funereal headdress to a fashion gala the other night, when it came time to eat, Gaga refused to lift her veil even for the most tempting dishes. Instead she sat at the dinner table playing with a Barbie doll and dressing it up to look like her.

Fellow guests at the Ace Fashion Gala were warned not to talk to the kooky muso because "Lady Gaga hasn't eaten yet." She must get really grumpy when she's hungry!

Picking up her Stylemaker award from the Accessories Council, she took the opportunity to deny rumours of a self-styled fashion label. "The House of Gaga is nothing that can be sold," she announced.

She finished by advising the audience, which included some of fashion's biggest names, "I think we must all remember that the ultimate accessory is the condom."
