"I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears"

Rihanna has said that the media scrutiny following the Chris Brown incident made her feel like she was Britney Spears overnight.

The singer talked to Glamour magazine about her assault and its aftermath, including her shock when a photo showing the effects of her injuries was leaked by police.

"It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody," she said. "I felt completely taken advantage of.

"I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women."

She spoke about how lonely she felt following the incident, despite the overwhelming support from family, friends and fans.

"I felt like I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day."

Rihanna told the magazine the incident made her "stronger, wiser and more aware".

"You don’t realise how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans."

u idiots the only reason she is comparing herself to brit is in regards to the huge increase in media... and she has every right to talk about the incident.. situations like these (brit and rhi rhi) - yeah they chose to have these carrers but they deserve to have privacy..
I get wheres shes coming from...sorta but honestly she hasnt been through much compared to britt. i don't think its right that the photos were leaked, i mean who would?!?! But comparing herself to britt ain't right. and sweety you Really NEED to do something with your hair! Everyone liked it before you had it chopped.

I agree with Fab & KnowitAll, Britney has been to hell and back. With her kids, Kfed, her father, her mother, her money and all the people surrounding her - damaging her mental health. And Rihanna has the nerve the compare the media carnivals? Think not sweety. I can speak as a person who has been through abusive times. But Rihanna basically down-played and demeaned what Britney has lived are recovered.

i feel for her... just because she is a celebrity doesn't mean that she deserves any less privacy during a tough time. just because she earns a lot of money doesnt mean she wasnt violated when those photos of her battered face were released - no matter who you are, no-one should have that sort of situation plastered all over mediairl'?
shes right though. shes just been assaulted, and going through that, you don't want everybody to follow you about it. you just need time to urself to get over it. and the police guy who leaked that photo - i hope hes fired. you're supposed to be able to trust the police.

What a drama Queen. And what a terrible thing to say about Britney.. despite her troubles. And for goodness sake see someone about your hair.
