Katie Price to adopt a baby?

Madonna's proven that cute orphans bought from hot countries are the perfect things to chase away the divorcee blues, and now it looks like Katie Price could be going for the same rebound option.

News of the World reports that the mum of three is seriously considering adopting a child after she suffered a miscarriage just weeks before husband Peter Andre filed for divorce.

"I want more children but there's no way I'm rushing into the physical upheaval of getting pregnant again after losing Pete's baby," Katie reportedly told a friend.

"The pain of that was too much to bear."

"I've been blessed with success and financial security and I feel it's time to share that."

In the past Katie and Pete had talked openly about the possibility of adopting a disabled child — Katie's oldest son Harvey (from a previous relationship), is disabled, so the couple felt they were in a position to help another child with similar challenges.

Now it seems Katie is considering doing it alone, but she'll have to rearrange her new hectic party schedule if she wants to take on a fourth child.

Her friend tells NOTW, "Katie's lost interest in appearing like the perfect mother, and doesn't care if people want to keep on judging her.

"She really wants to cut loose like the old days."
