She's a long way off retirement, but at the ripe old age of 33 Angelina Jolie's been deemed "too old" to reprise her role as sexy action hero Lara Croft in the latest Tomb Raider movie.
Producer Dan Lins has confirmed he'll be "rebooting" Lara Croft, but giving Ange the boot in favour of a younger, hotter star.
"It's a great story that we're going to tell, very character-orientated and more realistic than the past movies," he says. "It's an origin tale so it's going to be a younger Lara Croft."
Ange shot to A-list status after she starred in the first two Tomb Raider films in 2001 and 2003, but with the newest instalment written as a prequel – telling the story of Lara Croft's early transformation to international woman of mystery – the part will go to a younger actress.
Transformers star Megan Fox is tipped as the most likely choice but if she's going to play a young Angelina, the 23-year-old will need to get over her phobia of the intimidating actress…
"I’m actually frightened of her," Megan revealed recently. "I haven’t had the opportunity to meet her and I try to avoid that because I’m afraid. Angelina’s a powerful person and I bet she would eat me alive."
