So You Think You Can Dance: top 12 tackle two dances each!

So You Think You Can Dance
Talia gets one over Loredo
Ten
Tonight each couple does two dances, which means it's the longest episode ever. Seriously, it's so long I'm still watching it. (Also, Jason Coleman is back to greeting the audience with his customary stupid sideways snips. Phew!)

TALIA + LOREDO

World. "World" turns out to be "Bollywood", so they're dressed in traditional Indian get-up and glittery jewellery. It's actually great to see a new genre on this show, and Talia is awesome at it. Jason declares that it's a great start to the show. Agreed!

Jazz. Barring a few high kicks at the end, this routine isn't jazzy at all. That said, it's still tops — especially a graceful move where Loredo pulls Talia towards him using a long strip of fabric. Bonnie thinks it was "totally magical", while Matt declares they've finally had "a moment" together.

KAT + DANNY

Contemporary. This routine is sunny and lovely and light — they flow beautifully around each other. Danny, who's a contemporary pro, is especially good. Matt reckons they demonstrated real trust, while special guest judge Kelley Abbey adds it was "fresh, innocent, joyous".

Ballroom. The duo dances the paso doble, and while it's very wild and striking, it's also messy and kinda crazy. Frankly, the most notable thing about it is that Danny has found time to dye his hair black between this and the last routine. The judges agree it was entertaining, but not Kat and Danny's best work.

LAMB + TIM

Hip-hop. They're both finally in their element here, and it shows. Too bad the song they're dancing to is so utterly boring, then. Bonnie loves their synchronisation while Jason slams their lack of unison, though they agree that Lamb is super-sexy. (She really is! After the too-cute video interview she did with Jordan, which you can watch here), Lamb is one of my favourites. She's adorable!)

Ballroom. Their second dance is the Viennese waltz, which could not be more different to hip-hop. The routine has the potential to be a hot mess but it's surprisingly good — Lamb especially is proving to be much more than just a hip-hop/jazz dancer. Matt thinks there were too many "ugly" moments. Bonnie agrees, though she praises their "great chemistry".

GIANNE + BJ

Ballroom. BJ (hee, "BJ") is great in this jive number, but Gianne dances rings around him. She is just stellar. Jason agrees Gianne owned the routine, while Kelley is "so impressed". Surprisingly, Bonnie didn't like it so much, so the crowd boos her.

Jazz. In this Broadway-themed routine, BJ plays an accountant, Gianne a sexy housewife. Again, she's the standout dancer of this standout couple, though BJ does earn points for winding up almost naked by the end. LOL. Matt says it's one of his favourite dances of the night. "That's entertainment," Jason declares.

PENNY + CHARLIE

Contemporary. The dancing is great, aside from minor flubs. But I feel like we've seen this sort of quiet, leaping routine a billion times already. I'm bored. The judges disagree: Kelley is flabbergasted, while Jason suggests that Penny and Charlie are literally in love. Um, I doubt it.

Hip-hop. In routine two, Penny and Charlie are popping super-thieves. Unfortunately... this is not great stuff. Their unison is nonexistent, and Penny struggles to keep up. It's not terrible, but it's probably their worst dance so far. Jason struggles to say anything nice, while Kelley says that she wanted more pop.

AMY + BEN

Hip-hop. This is their first ever dance together, and I love them already: they're goofy, but great. However, Bonnie is the only judge who likes this routine. Jason decrees it "pedestrian", while Kelley says it wasn't dynamic enough. Ouch.

Ballroom. This mumbo routine is dizzyingly fast — almost too fast. Ben and Amy never lose themselves in it... though they seem to be having fun, especially in a stunning series of lifts and twists at the end. Jason thinks they pulled off a difficult dance, and Bonnie agrees it was "great". Ben adds that Amy is the "best female partner ever", which is a total burn on Pania.

I'm predicting that Kat + Danny, Lamb + Tim and Amy + Ben will be in the bottom three on Monday night. Who do you think will face elimination?

I love the way who ever has been writing the stories on SYTYCD. love the writer!!!! as for the show itself, nup hate hate hate it.
Were Talia and Loredo's "jazz" routine and Gianne and ***'s jazz routine. Basically the ones pictured. By the way, does anyone else not think that Talia and Loredo's jazz wasn't jazz? I think it was more contempoary or lyrical...
They're my favourites and I hope they win.
