Miley sort of apologises for 'racist' photo

Miley Cyrus has responded to the public outcry over a photo leaked on the internet showing her and a group of friends slanting their eyes.

Asian American group The OCA says the shot is "offensive" and "sets a terrible example" to Miley's young fans. But Miley reckons she and her friends were just making "goofy faces" that had nothing at all to do with Asian people. Yeah, right.

"I've been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces!," Miley writes on her official website. "Well, I'm sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong and out of context! In NO way was I making fun of any ethnicity!"

Sigh. Teenagers will expect you to believe anything. Surely it would have been easier to write a real apology and be done with it.

The 16-year-old goes on to use the "everyone's picking on me" defence, to boot.

"I definitely feel like the press is trying to make me out as the new 'BAD GIRL!'" she writes. "I feel like now that Britney [Spears] is back on top of her game again, they need someone to pick on! Lucky me!"

As members of the press, we see her as more of a "stupid girl" than a "bad girl", but we're guessing she wouldn't like that title so much.

gess would eveyone just lay off miley i mean was any of the other teenages being sued for 4 millon no just cause shes famous and and infulenes to young kids dosnt mean she cant make mastakes by the way media folk i dont think shes a stupied girl i think shes just a smart girl that made a mastake and yous are kinder making her out to be a bad girl i mean she wasnt poll danceing on the poll all she did was hold on to it and there has been a lot of celebratyes doing wores thinks im sure but just cause shes in the hist of her popularity dosnt give u the ight to tear her down just lay off and let her leave her life and let her mack and lean from her mastakes btw im only 12 and miley hasnt influnsed me but shes seventeen and shes a teenager we all make mastakes and thats what life is and just cause shes famous dosnt give enyone the right to make fun, bully, or sue cause she has the money just leave her alone and let her live her life thank you kayley.

oh my god. the stupid tabloids HAVE to say thats its ALL MILEY. well its bloody not. look at the other people! i seriously bet almost everyone has done that face, at least once. i have done it- im not being racist at all. It is just a funny face not meaning to harm anyone. whoever sued them is so thick and only wants to get media attention. And sueing a well known celeb who has mucked up before is how they did it. bye =)
Seriously, who hasn't pulled their eyes into the squinting asian look? It's just because she's famous that she's getting controversy over it.
The world is too politically correct these days,it just looks like a little bit of fun, in my days we did that all the time just to see how we would look, slanted eyes, are also pretty, I am an ex South African of mixed colour,and I am not offended.
