Jason Donovan: The next 007?

If Daniel Craig ever gets sick of being James Bond, there's one blonde bombshell in the wings who'd be more than happy to step into his spy boots - 80s heartthrob Jason Donovan, of course.

Well, they look the same, apparently.

"Look at Daniel and me, would you not say we look very similar?" Jason told UK People.

"If they want Jason Donovan as 007, then I'd be more than happy for them to make an offer."

The only thing cooler than Jason as 007 would be Craig McLachlan. Check out both of them, along with a swag of other retro spunks, in our Where Are They Now: Teen Heartthrobs gallery!

Get a grip people - he's taking the ***. Get a new hobby. Jason may not be a major talent but he's a top guy with the ability to laugh at himself. Irony is clearly a concept that has eluded the 'LOL' generation - bunch of tools!

Well I support Daniel Craig when he had lash against him. He had Roger Moore & all of his predessors & half of former Bond Cast supporting him. Well hes my last Favorite 007. After his time as 007 for 2 or 3 more My Bond fan days are over. Jason will be to old to play Bond when Daniel Craig move on from the Bond role. He does'nt have enought Action Acting talents. So who ever will be the next Bond will not be my problem.
no ay you have to be hotlike sean connery and roger morre and pierce brosnman to be bond so jasin no no no no no no no eww even i a 15 year old know that god
Jason is a mature young man these days & enjoys having a joke which is good! Thumbs up to you Jason!! Maybe when you are even more mature you could do the 007 role! At the moment I could see George Clooney or Nicholas Cage playing 007.
I won't be so cruel, But would say that, if this is for real, that would have to be the end of the James Bond Movies, it would make Zilch at the Box Office, I think Hugh Jackman could play the part, if and when Daniel Craig gave it up.
you wish!!!!
The new Bond franchise bares little resemblence to the old.. Just like Daniel Craig bares little resemblence to some one that can act.. No suave no sofistication and most importantly no story line.. Throw in a blonde Bond an MTV video producer as director and cut action scene after disjointed action scene and there you heve it.. Yawn!!!! People this movie couldn't be any worse even with a *** poor actor like Jason Donovan staring as the lead.. Put up your hands if you went to see this one just because you've seen all the others.. I did and lets be honest we've seen it all done before and better.. Thumbs down not worth the price of admission or the hype....
Sure, Jason D might've been kidding but in all jest there is some truth. The article says "'80s" hearthrob.......that was 20+ years ago.....enough said. I doubt that JD could be a Bond man so I certainly HOPE that he was kidding. And frankly the article suggests that JD is serious.....there's no hint of joking in it. But that's the kind of crap these celeb sites offer. And as for people telling others to get a hobby....H-E-L-L-O????? Kettle frickin' black! Anyone that writes this crap and those that read it......we're the ones that need to find something better to do. But that said, I'm glad I don't live, eat, breath and s--t this stuff....how boring. I'm going to find something better to do.....
I'll stop watching James Bond for life if Jason gets the part. He has no sex appeal, Gross... Who will be the James Bond girl then Amy Winehouse perfect match..

I second Danikajaye post..totally agree. It's amazed me reading the various posts on this. It's quite obvious Jason's comment was intended to be funny, a bit of tounge-in-cheek..... no need for people to get so carried away over it. There's more serious problems in the world, REAL problems that people can be so concerned about!!!
