Heath Ledger's apartment up for rent

 2/09/2008 1:09:00 PM, CelebrityFIX Prev Next The New York apartment that once belonged to Heath Ledger has gone back on the rental market - with an inflated asking price, of course.

The late Aussie actor was paying US$22,000 a month for the SoHo apartment, where he died in January this year.

Since his death and Dark Knight infamy, the price has been elevated to US$26,000 a month.

"You don't wait around in a hot rental market like this," a real estate agent told the New York Post. "As ghoulish as it sounds, people will rent that place in a heartbeat."

Heath moved into the posh unit in September last year once he completed filming The Dark Knight.

heath ledgers death was a tragedy, much like river phoenix who died 15 years ago on he 31st of october 1993. the leasing agent should not be using heath's popularity to rent out an apartment - show a little respect to the deceased !
Life goes on. I thought Heath was a great actor and I'm not disrespecting him. Just because someone died there, it doesn't mean they should leave it vacant, but please, upping the price becasue it was Heath's last flat is selfish.
He died so he could get out of his lease~~~!!!!

WHY DON"T PEOPLE LEAVE THE DEAD ALONE AND LOOK IN THERE OWN BACK YARDS AND SEE WHAT MISTAKES THAT THEY HAVE DONE. he has passed over now its time to look after his little girl and give her positive stories about her daddy. none of this negetive stuff.
Heath Ledger was a great actor that will remembered forever. i know i will never forget the many hours my friends and i would go on about him and how great he was. Whats the saying the show must go on? Seriously did you really think that they would leave the apartment vacant? if you did get into the real world where money talks and bull**** walks!!!!!! everyone is going on ghosts in his apartment and things like that seriously people dont you think that a member of his family would read this and dont need to hear that crap. He left a beautiful little angel behind in this cruel world maybe the people who dont know her but have a heart should at least try and protect her from the harsh gossip that is related to her fathers death. what she needs to know is how great her father was so that she can live with his legacy and when everything is sorted and settled she will live a comfortable life cause everything come to those who wait. that child does not need to suffer anymore.
