'Too fat': Pregnant Ashlee Simpson devastated

The 23-year-old was reportedly told by her doctor that she has gained too much weight since falling pregnant to husband Pete Wentz, according to Star magazine. The assessment reportedly made Ashlee burst into tears, with the singer stocking up on tiny pairs of jeans to motivate herself to get back into shape once the bub is born.

“Ashlee broke down in tears at a doctor’s appointment in early August when she found out she’s gained more weight than is considered in the healthy range,” a source told Star.

All we have to say is, as if! Ashlee looks just as slim now as she did before she was pregnant - we haven't spotted a swollen ankle or varicose vein at all!

Ashlee is due in October, and has apparently been doing pregnancy yoga to keep in shape, while planning a nursery with hubby Pete.

“We’re getting the nursery ready,” she told People. “I can’t wait to be a mom and he can’t wait to be a dad, so it’s fun.”

“I have the greatest husband,” she said. “He’s so awesome. It’s fun to have somebody that I love to do this with.”

Ashlee sounds more like a blissful mum-to-be rather than an weight-fixated wreck to us.
