Jordan up front: Sick of the Olympics?

, Prev Next

Are you obsessed with the Olympics or are you just P-Oed that they've taken the place of your favourite shows?

It's easy to say you like them, but do you really? Jordan Loukas is on a quest for the truth.

The CelebrityFIX reporter hits the streets to find out if Australians really are the avid sports fans we claim to be.

And while she's at it she picks up some useful suggestions for improvements in 2012... nude games anyone?

Yes, I was sick to death of the Olympics. (I'm not a very sporty person, and never have been.) So thank God for Austar and Fox 8. There was 24-hour-a-day animation coverage for those of us who wanted something different to watch. Good on you, Austar.
To all those people complaining about the Olympics being on every channel, uh get your facts straight. Channel 7 had the exclusive rights to cover the games, what you were seeing on other channels is called the News and as the Olympics is a world event, yes they tend to report about it. 2 weeks of no home and away wont hurt you, time to open your minds and step outside the square you live in! Congrats to all the athletes, they did amazing!!
what can i say, if having what, two weeks of olympics is that shattering to your life then you have serious problems. complaining because your television schedule was altered. get a life, its pretty pathetic if it revolves around tv and even worse that your on here *** about how you were deprived of your precious little idiot box.
i love jordan's interviews
Oh come on people, seriously... can we not turn into poms, please? Stop whinging about every little fricken problem. So you don't like the olympics, prefer to watch some crap called home and away, don't like ads, eh? Well do something about it! Get foxtel, tape the shows you want so you don't see ads, or how about, move to another country!? I love tv, love the ads, loved loved loved the olympics! If there's a show I hate, guess what, I don't watch it! If I don't feel like watching the ad breaks, guess what, I change the channel! Ha!
How do you think they feel? Do you think for them that it's not a big deal? The shallowness in some of these comments are astounding and frankly Jordan should be fired or used as a target for the shooters because she was horrible. And so what that the atheletes don't cure cancers! Do you? Do Bank executives? Do Software developers? Does the man or woman who delivers your mail cure cancers? NO! Only people who are good at that, who find at interesting, cure cancers. And we do praise those who make new medical discoveries but we also praise musicians although they only play an instrument so why is it wrong to praise someone who has gone through YEARS of training and emotional stress etc. to get where they are? It's wonderful seeing young and old (64 year old dude who represented Japan) people getting up there showing their skills. So What are you going to do now? Watch Home and Away? Do everyone a favour and keep your shallow and uneducated thoughts to yourself. Oh
This is absoluetly disgusting. How can you say you hate the olympics because it interupted your favourite tv shows for 16 days every 4 years? What the hell?! And what about the German Weightlifter dude who promised his dying wife that he'd get to Beijing and win gold? It was so touching! He won the gold and began to sob and when receiving the medal held up her picture! You also claim that the money is wasted. Why do you think countries want to host the Olympics so badly? Not only is it an honour but also it gives them an excuse to fix roads, public transport, build new infacstructure etc. and then get all, if not at least most of the money back through sponsors and adverstising. And It helps countries come together! The Russian and Georgian who embraced after the shooting final! And with all the turmoil between those two countries! And not even mentioning the fact that some of the poorest nations in the world, African Countries, are getting gold in track and field!
well done ch7 with your three hd or digital broadcasts, not smart enough to maybe show different events on one or all of them so that we actually had a choice. whats the point of broadcasting the same event on all channels, bring back pauline as i need a "please explain".
Seriously sad to see people complaining that the olympics, one of the greatest events in the world, has disrupted their tv programmes, we live in a great nation that loves its sport and maybe those people who sit on their *** all their life watching tv should try and achieve something with their lives like all the athletes in the olympics
Ok, one station won the rights to show the Olympics, but did the rest of them have to have so much of it on every time you turned on the TV? What about those of us who only like an occasional update on the happenings? It's about time this sort of thing stops polluting every waking hour of TV, free or not, it's supposed to be entertainment for all, how can it be when not all want the sport and Olympics on every channel. Give those of us who want to watch those programs we normally want to watch, not all of use are sports fanatics.
