The singer-turned-booze-entrepreneur is the new face of Stampede Light Plus beer, and she's so into the stuff she's taken a 15% stake in the company .
Appearing in a glossy magazine ad dressed in her trademark country and western get-up, Jess advises fellow beer lovers to "be smart, drink smart". In the small print she tells us, "I work out and take care of myself. But I also like a cold beer once in a while. That's why I made the smart choice with a smart beer Stampede Light, it's beer plus."

In case you're wondering how "beer plus" differs to "beer", Stampede Light is billed as a beer for "active people" and it even has added vitamins. Now that's just weird.
Maybe the advertisers are using some kind of bizarre reverse psychology by using Jess as their spokesperson, something along the lines of pots calling kettles black and people in glass houses throwing stones. Either way, a beer drinking Jessica Simpson telling us to "be smart" really gave us a giggle.
