Eva tries - and fails - to put on weight

 18/07/2008 10:41:00 AM, CelebrityFIX Prev Next When Eva Longoria Parker was asked to put on weight for a new Desperate Housewives storyline - she wasn't very successful. Her minute weight gain still managed to spark pregnancy rumours though (of course!)

The teeny actress chopped off her hair and gained a little weight to reflect the changes in the life of her character, Gabrielle, who is a mother of two in the fifth series of the show.

Her rep reveals that while Eva has transformed for the role, she's still not exactly frumpy mum material.

The rep told People.com that her character Gabrielle is "a worn out mother with two kids. And even that (the weight gain) was not enough. She’s also wearing butt pads and a stomach pad to play the part.” Butt pads! We love it!


Before and after: Eva's hair was an easy thing to change for her Despterate Housewives character. Her body? Still tiny!

GOD! THe article is stating that eva was asked to gain weight for desperate house wives, but she failed to do this and that is why there is a before and after pic which you see hardly any difference BECAUSE IS SHOWS THAT SHE FAILED TO GAIN WEIGHT FOR DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES read the *** title.
I don't understand how people can be so cruel! Its attitudes like some of those expressed above that are the reason why so many people have a terrible body image or have unrealistic expectations of how thin they should be in order to be beautiful. There is no WAY she is fat in either of those photos, to those of you who think she is... get your head read!

I agree with Jes. Not all Mum's are fat. I take offense to tv shows making out Mum's to be stressed-out fatties who only wear tracksuits and have oily, unkempt hair and washed out makeupless faces.

This how people made up story with a picture. She doesn't gain weigh, it is just the dress. We all have bad picture moment that make us look fat.Well, why do I bother? lol
I think its brilliant she's putting on weight. If she didn't shed loose her role as gabbi and i would never watch it again. So i think a round of applause to her finally gettin a little more chubby. By the way even if i live inn Beijing i still can go on aussie websites. My mother was a hamster and my father smelt of elderberries. Not really but oh well i like the holy grail. I will be the flesh earting rabbit nah just kidding.
