Liz, now married to hunky businessman Arun Nayar, is still good friends with Hugh, and wistfully reflects on what could have been.
"Sometimes Hugh and I can get morbid and say we could have had five children by now, because we were together since we were 21,” she told Harper's Bazaar.
"But there was never a time when either of us wanted it. So you can’t really regret that.”
Hugh is actually godfather to Liz's son Damian, whose father is the aforementioned Steve Bing, so we know all this chummy talk is for real.
Liz married new beau Arun last year and said she'd love to have children with him, but has no immediate plans - she is 43 now though, so she'd better start thinking!
As for Hugh (who is single after splitting from the glamorous Jemima Khan), Liz says she hopes he'll find his own version of Arun and settle down - but mentioned that his one-time co-star Sandra Bullock would have been "a great match" for him..
