Is Suri too old for the bottle?

 9/05/2008 9:33:00 AM, CelebrityFIX Prev Next The parenting style of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes has been questioned following shots of their two-year-old daughter Suri enthusiastically sucking at a bottle.

Us Weekly report that parenting experts and paediatricians reckon parents should wean their tots off the bottle at the age of one - looks like Tom and Katie don't give a rats!

Suri is often snapped with her trusty bottle in hand, and a parenting expert tells Us Weekly that expert says TomKat may have had trouble weaning their little girl off the bottle due to their frequent travelling - it's just easier when she's not spilling her juice all over the private jet, right?

Dr Charlotte Cowan told Us Weekly that "most paediatricians recommend a bottle should be given up by age one — almost certainly by 18 months."

"When babies are challenged, their diet is upset, their sleep is upset. They will regress back to previous habits ... lingering with a bottle is comforting. You could argue that her parents have decided that this is not the time to try to wean her off if they're travelling frequently."

My son is 2.5yrs and daughter is 1.5 yrs they both still have a bottle at night sumtimes of a morning i have no problem with it leave suri and her parents alone i make my two brush their teeth daily and they love it they have beautiful teeth.
FAR TOO OLD FOR A BOTTLE! All my kids put their bottles, dummies, nappies in the bin themselves on their first birthday and watched the garbage man take them away. Old enough to hold a bottle - then old enough to hold a cup. Old enough to walk - then old enough to walk to the toilet.
who cares my little sister still has a bottle and shes 4. little kids use bottles as comfort so let her have one
i think it is a parent s choice to decide what is best for their child.... however i think it is a great thing to talk about as toddlers using a bottle can damage their teeth by the silicaon teat. tooth decay can be a problem for some children that continue to to use a bottle after the age of one. it is a great topic it may bring some awareness of this issue. It is a parents choice to how they raise their children and i personally see nothing wrong with suri using a bottle as it can be hard to wean and parents need to take a number of things in to consideration. they are doing a great job and should not be critised for their choices but it may help others by talking about this sort of thing

from what i know... she can do what ever she like.... she's rich and what that magazine can't think of better topics to write about? there's nothing with Suri drinking with a bottle even when she's 2 years old... I BET THE PERSON WHO WROTE THIS ARTICLE WAS SUCKING ON A BOTTLE TILL HE OR SHE WAS WHAT? 5? OR MORE... SO I WOULDN'T BE TALKING
my 2 year old still has a bottle leave the poor baby alone
... well, someone was obviously having a slow news week. Really, is that the best you could come up with? A two year old has a bottle? Next we'll be reporting that some poor two year old kid was seen with a juice stain on her t-shirt, which is *of course* a sign of neglect. It's really quite pathetic that the media has been reduced to this.

Why the f*** are people picking on Tom and Katie, and SURI for that matter, over BOTTLE-FEEDING!? It's none of your f*****g business. What the hell kind of s*** article is this!?! (And responding to this comment is kinda useless if you got something against it, I won't see what you say)
