Solange Knowles' fierce Met Ball elevator attack on Jay Z has sparked speculation that she's fallen victim to drug abuse once again.
Although it's not yet clear what happened to prompt the attack on Jay, attention has turned towards Solange's former drug demons as a possible cause for the violent Met Ball brawl.
Only last year, the 27-year-old hip-hop star was plagued with drug rumours, after cancelling the remainder of her European tour. "I really had to make the decision for my mental and physical health," Solange said in a statement. "I have to provide stability for my family."
Earlier in 2008, junior Knowles wrote an ode to marijuana called 'Champagne Chronic Nightcap', confirming to press that it was about her love of lighting up.
"I am unapologetic," she said in an interview. "I don't write about things unless they are true."
In 2009, Queen Bey's little sis candidly tweeted about her Nyquil overdose before blatantly asking Twitter followers how she could get weed.
She posted: "Is weed taboo in NYC? Like, why can't I find any?"
And since then, she's continued the drug talk, telling radio host Angie Martinez that her "new-age Mary Jane record" totally "endorsed weed". And that was only a few shorts months ago.
We'll keep you updated as more details of the elevator attack emerge…
