Watch: The viral video that inspired THAT Wolf of Wall Street drug scene

A drugged-out sequence in The Wolf of Wall Street involves Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill's characters taking one too many Quaaludes (a sedative-hypnotic drug) and dealing with the dopey consequences.

But it wasn't all just Leo's genius improv comedy that made the scene. The 39-year-old confessed at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival that a YouTube clip of a drunk dude helped him to get into character. Watch the inspirational clip that's had almost four million hits on YouTube since 2009 above!

"A lot of the research that I did really came from watching this one video on loop," he said. "It's called 'The Drunkest [Guy] in the World'. It's a man trying to get a beer, but his body doesn't quite [work]. That was a huge inspiration to me.

"It's not just the fact that he was sort of elasticated and trying to get [up], it was his motivation that was really intriguing. He had one singular goal, one that was to get a beer out of the 7-Eleven, and it took him a half an hour."
