Katy Perry was spotted leaving a restaurant in LA on Valentine's Day with John Mayer, wearing a heart-shaped ring on her ring finger.
But it's not the ring we are all expecting to see. According to People magazine, the pair is "not engaged."
The 20-carat petite gold ruby heart ring was picked out personally by John and made by jeweller Daniel Gibbings.
According to Gibbing's rep, "the style of his engagement rings are not the usual Neil Lane looking ring. They are definitely trendy or boho."
Does this mean it could be an engagement ring? After all, it's not unusual for celebs to want to keep their private lives a secret.
John has never been married, but has courted many celeb babes including Taylor Swift, Jennifer Love-Hewitt and Jennifer Aniston.
Katy's divorce to comedian Russell Brand was finalised in July 2012. So, what better time than Valentine's Day for John to show he's done playing the field?
