After awkwardly dodging ex Harry Styles at the NRJ Awards red carpet, the 23-year-old has made an announcement about her latest "great love" on her website.
"I wanted to share some news with you because we're actually making it official with one of the great loves of my life," Tay says with a straight face. "Diet Coke".
Yes, Taylor is the new face of Diet Coke. Taylor will be part of "all marketing efforts for the brand", including social media campaigns, ads and tie-ins with her 2013 Red tour.
Consider the battle lines drawn: Taylor's ex Harry and his One Direction boys are the faces of Pepsi.
Some fans have expressed concern over Taylor representing a brand with questionable health benefits.
"But Taylor, don't drink too much Diet Coke! Aspartame will kill you slowly," one fan wrote on the YouTube video of her announcement.
"If she's really all that good why would she then do this? People are going to be like: Wow, Taylor Swift is drinking it so it's cool. Especially in the US, where she lives, she should know better how important it is to promote healthy living," another fan wrote.
