Reports have surfaced that 46-year-old pop star Janet Jackson is engaged to her Qatari business tycoon beau, Wissam Al Mana.
Janet started dating the 37-year-old dreamboat in 2010, keeping a low profile together ever since.
Reportedly worth $1 billion, Wissam is the managing director of Al Mana Retail, which represents A/X Armani Exchange. He is also a shareholder in Saks Fifth Avenue.
The entrepreneur reportedly gave Janet “a huge, expensive ring”, which according to Us Weekly, Janet is so afraid will get lost, “she keeps it locked up”.
I think we can safely say that Janet is not marrying Wissam for his money.
The pop diva who once sang ‘The Best Things in Life are Free’ is worth an estimated $150 million in her own right.
Still, Wissam is sparing no expense for what is slated to be the most luxurious wedding of next year.
It has been reported that Janet’s entire family (seven siblings and more than 20 nieces and nephews) will be flown by private jet to Qatar to witness the nuptials, said to be taking place in only a few months’ time.
A private chef will also be hired to cater to the family’s every whim and design an elaborate custom menu for the occasion.
We want an invite, Janet!
The twice-married superstar, who publicly split from Jermaine Dupri in 2009, is ready to start her own family.
"She wants kids," a Jackson source told US. "If she can't have them, she will adopt."
