Jessica and Ashlee Simpson's father Joe has reportedly slammed the recent rumours about his sexuality as 'ridiculous', sources who've spoken with Joe told TMZ.
While some of the sources believe him, others have suggested that he may not be ready to come out of the closet publicly, TMZ reports.
Speculation emerged a few weeks ago following the divorce of the former Baptist minister and wife Tina after 34 years of marriage in September, citing "discord of conflict of personalities".
It wasn't long before the tabloids, including the UK's National Enquirer, published stories claiming that the 54-year-old had at least two alleged affairs with younger men.
A 21-year-old blonde wannabe model named Bryce Chandler Hill, and Fabio-haired New York escort Joey Anderson have both claimed to have had affairs with Jessica's dad.
"Joe has lived a lifetime of deceit regarding his sexuality. Before the dust settles, I wouldn't be surprised to hear about a lot more guys coming forward," the escort told the National Enquirer.
So is he or isn't he? Let's hope the truth comes out (even if he doesn't!).
