Various reports and sightings of her out, about and messed up have surfaced over the last few months, to the point that her dad Michael staged an intervention to urge her to clean up her act.
Several of Lilo’s friends have confirmed the actor’s rampant partying, one source in Los Angeles telling Radar Online, “They act one way to her face but have been telling different stories behind her back.”
VICE Magazine’s Cat Marnell encountered Lindsay at Manhattan hotspot Le Bain back in July, and wrote of the experience: “Her knees buckle and her eyelids droop as she sloppily pours her drink. My addict instincts tell me she’s popped a painkiller or something with whatever she's been drinking.”
Could a new romance with 25-year-old cheerleader-turned personal trainer Josh Chunn be the key to cleaning up her act? He seems to think so, telling The New York Daily News, “I think I’m the best influence on her… she is surrounded by a bunch of f---ups”.
Lindsay and Josh started dating after meeting at the Chateau Marmont, but Josh is far from the over-indulged LA brats that she usually rolls with, “That’s the problem with these kids in LA, they don’t have a schedule. All they want to do is party,” he continued.
The former Ragin’ Cajun’s cheerleader also added that drugs and partying are "not my thing", and is encouraging Lindsay to try outdoor activities like hiking and fishing with him.
After staging an intervention at Lindsay’s house on Friday, Michael Lohan will attempt to get her under a conservatorship, meaning that he will be in legal and financial control of her life. Sources are unsure of whether he will be successful and more news should come to hand next week.
