Shakira is expecting her first child with professional footballer Gerard Piqué.
The 'Hips Don't Lie' singer announced the news on her website.
"As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!" she wrote.
In the brief message, Shakira also revealed that she would be pulling out of her upcoming promotional appearances to "give priority to this unique moment in [their] lives".
Piqué and Shakira, 25 and 35 respectively, have been dating since early 2011.
There's been no word yet on whether the pregnancy will affect Shakira's stint replacing Christina Aguilera as a coach on the fourth season of The Voice US.
