Lindsay Lohan was arrested in New York yesterday for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident after hitting a pedestrian in her Porsche.
Police told TMZ that the star was trying to park her car outside her hotel at 2am when she hit the man, allegedly injuring his knee.
One of her passengers got out to check if there was any damage to the car before the group went inside the hotel.
Police were called and Lindsay was arrested as she left the hotel 30 minutes later. She was released after being booked with a misdemeanour charge for leaving the scene of an accident.
According to TMZ, Lindsay had "no idea"' she had even hit the man. The website reports there is CCTV footage that shows the victim is "grossly exaggerating his claim" and that the car barely grazed his leg.
A rep for Lindsay played down the incident in a statement to The Huffington Post. "We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue," he said.
However The Daily News is reporting that Lindsay "smelled like alcohol" and was "slurring her words" at the scene.
The timing of this latest commotion couldn't have been worse for Lindsay after she attacked fellow trainwreck Amanda Bynes this week for copping less punishment for similar driving infringements.
