According to a new article in Newsweek detailing the breakdown of Arnie's relationship with Maria Shriver, the 65-year-old refused to attend marriage counselling and kicked his wife out of the house when she made the discovery he had cheated on her 14 years earlier.
Maria lived in a hotel while Arnold remained in their California home with their four children.
Newsweek writes, "He could not understand why Maria could not just forgive and get on with things, and when Maria said she needed a trial separation and told Arnold to move out, family and friends say that he refused. It was his house, and he wasn't budging."
During this time, the 'Governator' reportedly told a neighbour, "I think things will work out OK with Maria, but if they don't, I'm getting me a 20-year-old honey."
When Maria demanded a divorce, he told her, "I have the money, the power, and the plane, and I will have the friends."
The couple announced their split in May 2011. Their divorce is still pending.
Arnie now lives alone and he rarely sees his children. His 18-year-old son Patrick has changed his last name to Shriver and according to Newsweek his two daughters "don't trust him".
Oh, and he's still waiting for that 20-year-old honey.
