"The past weeks have definitely been trying for us. The misinterpretations and assumptions that the media continually speculate on with regards to our private life is incredibly frustrating. "We have definitely gone through a difficult time on a personal level and for the record confirm that we both continually strive to maintain our marriage as a happy and loving one. "This latest 'story', which is completely fabricated, is yet another example that when you are in the spotlight anyone feels that they can take a shot at you. "Brynne - My Bedazzled Life is not at any point scripted. It's us living our lives ... The good and the bad."

A spy for TheFIX claimed to have overheard 29-year-old Brynne discussing plans to divorce her 69-year-old husband and to let the dramatic split play out in front of the cameras on her reality TV show.
The socialite was allegedly seen sharing lunch with a television producer in a Melbourne restaurant on Wednesday. Our eavesdropper, a fellow diner, says the producer was prepping Brynne on the timing of her divorce proceedings in order to get maximum mileage out of her reality show.
"He handed her a scripted piece of paper in respect of what to say on their so-called reality series," the witness tells TheFIX.
According to our spy, Brynne agreed to play the "poor me" card and accepted the producer's advice to time the split "in four weeks".
"When you announce this, you can go in and ask for 50 percent of everything," the producer apparently counseled her.
Brynne – My Bedazzled Life began shooting earlier this year and is expected to air in October.
A review of the first episode, previewed by The Daily Telegraph last month, describes a scene in which Brynne wails down the phone "I thought it would be forever!" after an argument with her husband. In another scene, she pleads for the cameras to be switched off.
A rep for Channel 7 declined to comment on our witness's claims.
