Not exactly destined to be known as "The Haircut that Shook the World", Miley Cyrus' drastic short-cropped blonde 'do is already three days old, and yet the 19-year-old continues to flood her Twitter page on a photo-posting spree. Should we be concerned?
Tweeting five photos in the space of 24 hours, Miley is making no secret of how empowered the boyish cut makes her feel.
"Self-love is the greatest of all flatterers", she posted with one of the pictures, quoting French author Francois de La Rochefoucauld.
Miley's latest post shows off more than just her hair. Liam Hemsworth's bride-to-be wears a see-through top with a very visible black bra (see below).
"It was just one of those CUHHH-RAZY pant days," she wrote.
Miley might be getting bored on the Philadelphia set of fiancé Liam's thriller with Harrison Ford, Paranoia.
Another theory for her attention-seeking behaviour is that Miley is on the verge of a Britney-esque breakdown, according to Los Angeles psychologist Dr Seth Meyers (note: he has never had Miley as a patient).
"Miley Cyrus' parade of unusual and provocative behavior recently reminds me of Britney Spears' downward spiral [including the 2007 head-shaving incident] in the past," Meyers told Radar Online.
"The apparent recent marks on her wrist, the drastic haircut, and an undeniably fledgling career suggest to me that Miley is overwhelmed with anxiety, feeling lost and uncertain about her future.
"Her loved ones should keep a close eye on her in case her impulsive behavior continues and gets worse, potentially putting her at risk of self-harm."
This is the girl whose post-haircut posts have included "never felt more me in my whole life" and "feeling so happy in my skin". She also tweeted that Liam is a huge fan of her hair, telling her "I look the happiest he's seen me in a while."
Miley hit back at the hair haters with the tweet: "My dad @BillyRayCyrus used to tell me 'opinions are like a-------, everybody has one."
