The recently-jilted star mumbled his way through the interview, deflecting questions about his private life by drifting off on a tangent about the calorie count of the breakfast cereal just given to him by the show's host (he was given "break-up ice cream" in his first post-split interview, so the GMA host gave him cereal).
"What do you want your fans to know about what's going on?" George Stephanopoulos asked him.
"They seem pretty excited about kind of whatever … you can kind of be like…" a squirming R-Pattz babbled.
Looking around for inspiration, he grabbed the cereal box.
"I'd like my fans to know that Cinnamon Toast Crunch has only 30 calories a bowl in it, for instance … pretty much anything that comes out of my mouth is irrelevant."
Er, ok.
Pulling himself together just a little bit, Rob managed to at least get one tangible point across. "I'm not interested in trying to sell my private life," he told the host.

In other R-Pattz news, the now-single star is looking forward to some quiet time here in Australia. He'll soon be heading Down Under to shoot the independent film The Rover with Guy Pearce. And with a bit of luck, the US paps won't follow him all the way to the outback!
"Rob wants to get away for a while, and is looking forward to filming in the desert in Australia," a source told The New York Post. "He needs some space."
