Ouch! The long-running feud between Elton John and Madonna has reached fever pitch with the 65-year-old singer-songwriter calling the Queen of Pop "a f------ fairground stripper" whose "career is over".
Watch Elton ripping into the Queen of Pop in his interview with Molly Meldrum on Network Seven's Sunday Night.
Elton took jabs at Madonna's attention-seeking behaviour on her much-criticised MDNA tour (like flashing her nipple on stage, putting a gun to her head, and using swastika imagery in her shows), her current music, and her surly treatment of pop rival Lady Gaga, who is godmother to Elton's son Zachary.
"Why is she such a nightmare? Sorry, her career is over. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger c---," Elton said.
"If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like Ray Of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff, and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly.
"But no, she had to go and prove... she looks like a f------ fairground stripper. She's been horrible to Gaga."
The feud between Elton and Madonna heated up back in January when Elton's partner David Furnish blasted the 53-year-old singer after she beat Elton to win the Golden Globe award for Best Original Song.
"Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit," he tweeted.
"Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism. And her criticism of [Lady] Gaga shows how desperate she really is."
While Furnish apologised for the remarks, Elton delivered a cutting piece of advice for Madonna before her Super Bowl performance: "Make sure you lip-synch good".
