The 41-year-old Snow White director was snapped wearing his wedding ring while out and about in LA on Tuesday and wife Liberty Ross was also spotted wearing hers over the weekend.
The sightings suggest both parties are hopeful their marriage can survive this rather significant relationship hiccup.
But it isn't going to be an easy road. A family source told E! News Rupert and Liberty are deep in discussion about how best to move on following the director's tryst with 22-year-old Kristen.
"Liberty and Rupert have not decided if they are going to stay together or not," said the source.
"It's too early to say what they're going to do. They have a lot of stuff to sort out. No decisions have been made.
"Rupert is working so hard to keep his family together," said the source.
Meanwhile Robert Pattinson appears to have found a shoulder to cry on.
The Twilight actor is reportedly weeping tears of devastation all over Katy Perry's latex outfits while trying to decide whether to forgive Kristen.
The two are said to be close friends, particularly since R-Pattz was there for Katy when she split from hubby Russell Brand last year.
"Katy has been a rock for Rob. She has reassured him she is very much there for him just as he was for her," an insider told the UK Daily Star.
The singer has reportedly "urged him to take a break with [Kristen]".
It's hard to gauge what's true and what's not in this manic media frenzy but Us Weekly has published a so-called list of "myths" surrounding Kristen and Rupert's affair.
The mag claims that Liberty's brother never went "on the record" with UK newspaper The People, as previously reported. A source told the mag Leopold has been very "guarded" when it comes to discussing his sister's wellbeing and even "slammed the phone down" on one prying journo.
They also reckon the U-Haul truck spotted outside K-Stew and R-Pattz' LA pad was a fake — quoting a source who claimed the van was hired by paps looking to make (big) bucks.
The mag says also says reports that Charlize Theron is "fuming" at her Snow White co-star Kristen are false, as are rumours that R-Pattz is partying his life away in London.
No comment has yet been made in relation to reports that K-Stew and R-Pattz are locked in a bitter custody battle over their beloved pooch, Bear.
