"RIP Michael Jackson … Dad you will forever be in my heart <3 I love you," the aspiring actress wrote on Twitter. Paris has her parents Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe on her mind, uploading a picture of the former couple on Twitter last week.
"Mommy and daddy <3" she captioned the photo. Debbie and Michael married in 1996 in Sydney after Debbie became pregnant with their first child, Paris' older brother Prince Jackson.
A self-described "daddy's girl", Paris has admitted in the past that although she now gets to see her mother (Debbie originally granted full custody rights to Michael, which she later reversed) her father's absence is still painful.
"It never gets any easier," Paris told chat show host Oprah Winfrey. She also tweeted, "I really do hate having that lonely feeling you get."
Paris is not the only family member to take to twitter about the anniversary of Michael's death. Michael’s sister LaToya Jackson also tweeted a tribute to her departed brother.
"Three years ago today it saddens me to know we lost a legendary artist. Greed and only greed was the cause of his death. Michael we love you!" she wrote.
"Cherish your loved ones and appreciate life … This day was the day that led to the demise of my little brother. Michael we Love may you RIP. Gone far too soon."
