Racist? Ashton Kutcher in 'brownface' video

Ashton Kutcher has been accused of racism for impersonating an Indian man in an advertisement.

The Two and a Half Men star appears in a new viral video campaign for the snack food Pop Chips with his face painted brown and speaking in an exaggerated Indian accent.

Ashton's portrayal of "Raj" — a Bollywood producer on a dating website who's "looking for the most delicious thing on the planet" has many people crying "racism!"

A rep for Pop Chips responded to the criticism:

"The new popchips worldwide dating video and ad campaign featuring four characters was created to provoke a few laughs and was never intended to stereotype or offend anyone. At popchips we embrace all types of shapes, flavors and colors, and appreciate all snackers, no matter their race or ethnicity. We hope people can enjoy this in the spirit it was intended."
