Poor Nadya Suleman. The down-and-out single mother of 14 children, whose famed octuplets earned her the nickname "Octomom", has filed for bankruptcy.
Despite going topless for $8000 for a UK magazine last month and trying her hand acting in a low-budget horror film (see video below), Octomom has only $50,000 in assets against a debt of around $1 million, according to papers filed last Friday.
The 36-year-old baby machine put her Californian home up for auction after failing to meet debt repayments.
"I have had to make some very difficult decisions this year and filing Chapter 7 [bankruptcy] was one of them," she told E! News. "But I have to do what is best for my children and I need a fresh start."
That might involve breaking her promise to never have sex on film.
"You know if the opportunity comes up I'll be the first to admit, I'm gonna eat my words," Octomom told Showbiz Tonight. "Because all that matters is that I can take care of my family."
She went on: "If it's a job, and it's a well-paying job, and it's gonna allow me to get out of here and move [my kids] into a very safe, huge home that they deserve ... I'm gonna do it."
Octomom had previously said she'd never do porn because she wanted to be a positive role model to her children.
