Forty-three-year-old Jason told UK journalist, Piers Morgan, that the hotel chain, which now markets itself to the "smart traveller," used to be "posh".
"At the time it was great. We cemented it in a Sydney Travelodge. Travelodges in those days were posh places," he said.
Sigh. What romance.
Jason, who dated Kylie during the late '80s after their on-screen Neighbours romance as Scott and Charlene, revealed the pop princess chased him to start a relationship, only to dump him via a phone call for INXS frontman, Michael Hutchence, in 1989.
"I found out later from my manager that they had met up in Hong Kong and I did not take it easily," revealed Jason.
"For a male it's a difficult thing to deal with to be dropped by a woman, but not only a woman but someone of her status."
Heartbreaking? Yes. Harsh? That too. But Jason said he "moved on" and is now married to the "love of my life," Angela Malloch.
So that explains why we're all still reminiscing about a night of passion 20 years ago.
