According to entertainment new site, Just Jared, the pair aren't hating on each other, but rather decided to call it quits after realising they weren't head-over-heels in love.
"They're just on two different paths of life. They just grew apart and decided to part ways," a source told the site.
Chord seems to be coping pretty well with the split, rocking up to the SAG Awards solo but in seemingly good spirits.
"Chord seemed just fine at the after-parties. He capped off the night at the exclusive Chateau Marmont with his co-stars," revealed the source.
The young couple (Emma's 20 and Chord's 22) reportedly first hooked up at the Coachella music festival in April last year, but it wasn't until July that they were spotted leaving a party together.
Ah dear, young love. So intense…over so soon.
