Paparazzo Grigor Baylan, has filed a lawsuit against the 25-year-old and her chauffer, Paola Demara, claiming Lindsay was riding in a car that hit him, and then made a speedy getaway, in January 2010. 'Baylan was struck by the vehicle driven by the defendant as he was taking photographs of a celebrity inside the vehicle,' state the court documents. The paparazzo is claiming for damages of at least $25,000, but according to RadarOnline, LiLo's confident the case will be dismissed.
"Lindsay wasn't even driving the car," said an insider close to the star.
"She sees this paparazzo as an opportunity that is trying to make quick money and using her to do so.
"Lindsay is going to vigorously defend herself, and is hopeful the lawsuit will be dismissed." According to the insider, LiLo is even considering taking her own legal action against Baylan, simply because he mentioned her in the lawsuit!
Believe it or not, this is actually the second legal issue for LiLo so far this year. She's also been served a tax lien for not paying federal taxes of $93,000 in 2009.
Ah, LiLo. We can always trust you to start the year with a bang.
