A source told Us Weekly that the NBA player was mega rude to Kim during their time together, criticising her weight and putting her down in front of friends and family.
"He belittled her in front of people. He'd call her stupid. It was truly sickening," said the source.
According to the source, Kris also called the bodacious TV star a "fat ass" amongst other "truly terrible things" in attempt to "control Kim by bringing her down."
But a source close to Kris has refuted the claims, saying that the 26-year-old still loves his soon-to-be ex.
"The Us Weekly story is completely taken out of context.
"Kris teased Kim a lot, but it was never malicious, and he never resented her. He loved her and still does. Too bad [the media] have to tear someone down to propel their own careers."
