One month after creating a nude sculpture of teenagers Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, he's unveiled a naked bust of the late Amy Winehouse.
"I thought of her as a beautifully delicate fairytale princess, waiting to be rescued from fame and addiction, but her prince never came," says Edwards.
"I had always expected to sculpt her portrait, but I was waiting for her to put some of her troubles behind her. She had made me pay attention to contemporary music again."
In the past, Edwards has created artworks of Octomom, Britney Spears, a breastfeeding Angelina Jolie and even Suri Cruise's gold-plated turd.
Is it too soon for him to be tackling Amy Winehouse, even if it is - as he says - a tribute?
