Someone wants to buy the rights to Kim Kardashian’s sex tape. Could it be Kim herself?
TMZ reports that a private party is looking to purchase the tape from Vivid Entertainment so they can take it off the market.
According to the report, this mystery buyer has hired a lawyer in Tennessee, who then wrote a letter to Vivid entertainment, which read:
‘I was approached by a private party who has asked us about looking into the possibility of acquiring all rights of the…’Kim Kardashian Sex Tape.’
‘The party we represent does not intend to distribute or broadcast the ‘tape’ but hopes to completely remove it from the market.’
In the letter, the lawyer doesn’t mention Kim Kardashian, but who else would want to get the tape off the market and not use it commercially?
And there might be a bit of a hint.
Apparently the mystery buyer wants to purchase all the raw, sex tape outtakes and any other footage that Vivid Entertainment owns of Kim.
The sex tape, which Kim filmed with singer Ray J, was leaked in 2007. Kim sued Vivid for ownership of the tape in April that year but dropped the suit and agreed to settle for a reported $5 million.
TMZ claims a source close to Kim has said the newly married reality TV star has shown interest in buying the rights to her sex tape in the past.
