Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith say their marriage is as strong as ever, after reports emerged yesterday that they decided to call it quits.
The report, published in America’s In Touch Weekly magazine, suggests the pair, who met on Will’s hit TV show, The Fresh Prince, had decided to end their marriage after 13 years.
Rumours were circulating that Jada, 39, had cheated on her long-time hubbie with Hawthorne co-star Marc Anthony, and that this was what had caused the split between Marc and his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, too.
Confused yet?
Yeah, we were too.
Anyway, it’s all been denied, denied, denied.
First on the scene was Will’s son to his first wife, Trey Smith. The 18-year-old tweeted: ‘Will and Jada getting a DIVORCE.. NOT TRUE AT ALL!!’
Jada then denied having an affair with Marc, and only a couple of hours later, Will released a statement to the media:
‘Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumours circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact.'
Will and Jada have previously admitted to having an open relationship.
“If it came down to it, then one spouse can say to the other, ‘Look, I need to have sex with somebody. I’m not going to if you don’t approve it- but please approve it,’” said Will in 2005.
The pair have two kids together - Jaden, 13, and Willow, ten.
