Andy Levy, host of the conservative broadcaster's Halftime Report, took to the air recently with an 'apology' for singer Chris Brown after the pair had earlier traded blows on Twitter.
The tweet-drama started like this:
Brown: No more planking for me unless it's on a sexy lady! Lol
Levy: You spelled "punching" wrong
Brown: Children conduct themselves better! Much love and success!
That might have been the end of the affair (except for the thousands of hate tweets Levy got from Brown's fans) had the FOX personality not used his show to get in what he was hoping would be the last word.
"Now in the light of day, I'd like to apologise to Chris Brown and to his fans, who are known as Team Breezy," Levy said on the show.
"To Mr. Brown, I apologise for referencing the fact that you beat the crap out of Rihanna. It was disrespectful of me to draw attention to the fact that you put your girlfriend in the hospital.
"And further it was not my place to help people remember that you beat a woman with your fists, leaving her with multiple facial contusions, a bloody nose and a split lip."
Not bad for a FOX personality, but it didn't end there.
"I can only hope to one day mature to the point where I can conduct myself in a more adult manner, possibly by throwing a chair out of a window and storming out of a building with my shirt off," he said, referencing Brown's more recent meltdown on the set of Good Morning America.
Still, Brown refused to bite. But he did tweet these words of wisdom:
"Most news channels actually let people know about the problems in the world instead of worrying about me as an entertainer!"
Hmm, which news channel might that be?
