Mel C is no stranger to skimpy outfits, but she’s taken a dig at Rihanna for being too sexy.
The former Spice Girl and Mum to 2-year-old Scarlett Starr, has tweeted about the “over-sexualisation of young children,” and believes stars like Barbados-born Rihanna are to blame.
“For the record, I am a big fan of Rihanna. I am also a mother.
“People have to take some responsibility because we’ve got to a point where over-sexualition of young children has gone too far.
“Rihanna has a responsibility and although culture’s changing, it’s changed too much. It needs to be dealt with,” she wrote.
“I love Rihanna, I think she’s a f****** brilliant artist, with great songs, a great record and she looks fantastic... but she’s not a mum. Maybe if she becomes one she’ll feel different. I hope so anyway.”
It’s great that you’re being all responsible, Mel, but if we remember right, the Spice Girls pretty much started this whole flitting around the stage in no clothes thing.
“Yes, we wore crop tops,” tweeted Mel, but “look how much has changed.”
