The Hollywood heavyweight is currently receiving treatment for throat cancer and has said he is is optimistic about a full recovery - but Star say that he and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones "secretly fear that these could be their final days together."
In a promo for the magazine, Star report that Catherine rushed home to Michael in the middle of a trip to Wales after getting some bad news from Michael's doctor.
