Sexy senior citizen: how 64-year-old Cher Turned Back Time

OK, so the secret to Cher's eternal youth isn't exactly a "secret"... the lady's had a lot of work done.

But her plastic surgeon can't take all the credit for the 64-year-old's incredible appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards yesterday.

More than 20 years after 'If I Could Turn Back Time' topped the charts, the sexy senior citizen resurrected her iconic outfit from the 1989 video clip. And damn, she does not look 64!

“I’m the oldest chick with the biggest hair and the littlest costume,” she told the audience last night. “I have shoes older than most of these nominees.”

Cher doesn't deny having had a ton of plastic surgery, though she takes offense to rumours of cheek implants and a rib removal.

"I've had my cheekbones since I was small. And it is impossible to have a rib removed!" she says. "When I heard that said of me I thought it particularly silly – but I will have to defend myself for the rest of my life against it."

Still, she admits to having had a nose job (yeah, der) and a boob job.

As for that unusual plasticky sheen to her skin, Cher reportedly spends a small fortune on facials and specialist treatments including LED light therapy and oxygen infusion techniques.

She also has a whole team of spiritual and holistic advisors which she's dubbed her "wellness crew" whose job it is to keep her mentally and physically centred.

Well then, pass this on to your granny because that's all she needs to do to look as awesome as Cher at 64!
