The 25-year-old, who is set to marry Russell Brand later this year, will release her first scent, Purr by Katy Perry, in Nordstrom stores from November.
Speaking about the new fragrance, she said to WWD: "I have about 50 fragrances and I'm intrigued by the mystique scent has.
"I saw a lot of my peers getting into this world, and, as with my music, I thought I could bring my touch to the category and make it competitive."
The bottle of the new perfume will be shaped like a cat and it will have jewelled eyes with metallic accents.
